A Labyrinth is one of the oldest contemplative and transformational paths known to mankind. It is used for prayer, personal and spiritual growth and appeals and fits in with modern day spirituality.
This ancient walk is the path of the pilgrim. Walking a Labyrinth naturally draws your attention inward and into the present moment. You become focused on receiving. During a Labyrinth walk your left and right side of the brain are brought into balance. You gain access to intuition and inner guidance. This meditation is beneficial for solving issues around relationships, your health, work and wellbeing.
The winding path is a metaphor for your life; the circuitous journey links the spiritual and the physical. The path opens up life’s lessons and your connection to self as well as with your relationship to others. On reaching the centre you come to a place where you journey from the head to the heart, a place where you can let go, become centred prior to the meandering journey out and make changes and choices that are more aligned to your authentic self.
Equate Labyrinth Designs
A labyrinth can be permanent or temporary, can be constructed indoors or outdoors and the style and size is chosen to suit the site. The activity, budget and the available materials would influence the design.
Labyrinths can be constructed by a group and for a specific goal or sited for personal use implemented by a recommended contractor.
Equate Facilitated Walks
Overseeing the construction of the Labyrinth and facilitation of the group walks is available.
